Shopping Detox Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Shopping Detox (the "App"), operated by Sato Apps (Japan), handles information. By using the App you agree to it.
Information we handle
- Screenshots. The product screenshot or image you choose from your photo library. When you ask for advice, the image and the language of the App are sent to our server. Anything visible in the image is sent with it, so please crop out names, addresses, order numbers and other personal details first.
- Results. The product name, category, price and advice returned by the server. The App has no account; the result is shown in the App and you can share it if you choose.
- Usage and device data. App version, operating system, device model, events such as choosing an image, the result of the analysis (including the product name and price read from your image), whether you decide to buy or skip, and crash data.
- Support information. What you send us by email.
- On this website, we count clicks on the download buttons in a way that does not identify you (no cookies are used).
How we use it
- To read the product from your image and write advice from the three AI mentors.
- To understand how the App is used, fix crashes and improve quality.
- To prevent abuse and answer your inquiries.
Who receives information
Providers handle data under their own policies.
Advertising and tracking
The App does not show ads. At launch it shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; you can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Retention and deletion
The App has no account. Data on your device stays until you delete the App or its data. The server processes the image to return the advice; a copy of the image and the result may be kept for quality review and troubleshooting. To ask us to delete a copy, email support@satoapps.com with the app version and the approximate date and time you used the App. AI providers and other providers keep their own records under their policies.
Children
Shopping Detox is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided some, contact us and we will delete it.
Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
- Controller: Sato Apps (Japan), support@satoapps.com.
- Legal bases: providing the features you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); analytics, crash diagnostics and security by legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Transfers: data is processed in Japan, the United States and other countries by the providers named in this policy, under safeguards such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
- Retention: copies kept for review are kept as long as needed for quality and security review or until you ask us to delete them.
- Your rights: access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection, by email; you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or the services it uses change. The updated policy applies from the date it is posted on this page.
